High Spirits Harmony are celebrating five years in the industry and are celebrating with a concert showcasing their talents.
High Spirits Harmony are a 28 member all-female choir, and they sing a capella and focus on contemporary music from a range of artists including, Coldplay, Keane, Elvis and Regina Spektor.
The choir was founded in 2014, and is led by choir director and musician, John Khammash, and they have had a lot to celebrate over the last five years.
Since forming, the choir has performed at the National AUSACA A Cappella Championships, which they scored second place in the ensemble section. At the same competition, they were also awarded the best newcomer award.
Earlier this year they also created and presented their first show at Adelaide Fringe, titled, “Underground Overtones,” which went on to have a sell-out season.
Their fifth anniversary concert is called “Live. Laugh. Sing,” which also reflects the group’s personal beliefs and attitudes, of enjoying music while also striving for excellence.
Also performing alongside High Sprits Harmony at the concert will be the award-winning male barbershop quartet, Nick Nack Paddy Catt.
The concert will be performed at the Pilgrim Uniting Church on Flinders St, Adelaide, on Saturday, July 27, at 7.30pm.
