The blockbuster ‘Hingis and Navratilova’ singles showdown confirmed as World Tennis Challenge draw released

Mark Woodforde, Co-Tournament Director has confirmed Martina Hingis and Martina Navratilova will play every night in the mixed doubles of the 2013 World Tennis Challenge at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre from 8-10 January with the highly anticipated singles showdown confirmed for Wednesday evening session.

Following today’s announcement that former top 10 Swede Mikael Pernfors and South Australian Wayne Arthurs have joined the 2013 line-up the draw promises to showcase some incredible matches across the three nights.

Woodforde said “Bringing great tennis to South Australia is what we strive to do.”

“The highly anticipated Hingis and Navratilova match is obviously the highlight in the legends field.  We’re looking forward to introducing women into the draw for the first time.”

“With three players in the top 20 there is going to be incredible tennis on display.  On the finals night the Almagro and Warwrinka match will be interesting to watch as they are the two outside chances for the Australian Open title if the top three are not on their game.”

“We’re reaching full capacity with ticket sales so if you’re keen to watch some great tennis next week I’d encourage you to jump onto Ticketek so we sell the venue out for a fifth year in a row.” continues Mark.” continues Mark.
