Hin’s Ramen House is expanding with a new location and new menu

Since opening its maiden store in Glenelg, Hin’s second location in Royston Park aims to transport you to Japan with its traditional ramen.

It’s a simple combination of meat, broth and noodles that has sent the world into a spin over the past few years and ramen’s popularity isn’t looking like slowing down anytime soon.

The complete combination of salt and spice, ramen is the perfect winter warmer and now, popular purveyors of the Japanese noodle soup, Hin’s Ramen House, has opened its second restaurant in the Eastern suburb of Royston Park.

Running with the warm, cosy feel of its maiden restaurant in Glenelg, Hin’s Ramen House has been created to transport its customers through the doors and straight to Japan.

“Both of our stores are quite small and intimate and we want you to get the full Japanese experience when you visit,” says co-founder Elaine Yuchen Zhang.

“Eating in our restaurants is a complete experience from the food to the feel and even the customer service.”

Speaking of customer service, Elaine and her team consider their guests as part of the family and one look around the Glenelg store shows the special place each one holds. Photos of happy, smiling faces scatter the four walls and Elaine remembers each and everyone.

“Our customers create our story each time they visit us so we have a camera available to capture the moment and looking at them brings back the memory of their visit and the connections we all developed.”

To accompany the new venue location, Hin’s is also releasing a new menu with the change accentuating the restaurant’s commitment to tradition. The small yet perfectly curated menu of four ramens with two different soup bases will now be accompanied by a selection of tasty new appetisers

“Our main focus always has been and always will be the ramen broth,” says Elaine.

“We have kept our ramen menu small so we can really focus on the quality. All of our broths are home-made and slow-cooked between 10-14 hours to get the most flavour out of the ingredients and everything is made fresh each day.”

The new entree additions include the popular karagge chicken and salt and pepper squid tentacles that Elaine says is “always a crowd favourite” and a focus on traditional Japanese curry, or Don Buri, is also noticeable with five delicious variations to choose from.

So, why not take yourself and your tastebuds on a mini trip to Japan with a quick visit to Hin’s.

Hin’s Ramen House is located at 299 Payneham Rd, Royston Park SA 5070.
