The Hindmarsh pub is having a quirky Melbourne Cup day celebration with its Mad Hatters High Tea on Tuesday November 2.
From 11am to 4pm, the bonkers Alice in Wonderland themed event will be held in the beer garden with a fairy tale Mad Hatter High Tea setting.
In the gorgeous spring sun, guests will be able to watch all the action of the races live on Hope Inn Hotel’s big screens.
The high tea is $40 for two people so guests can bring their gal pal, mate or partner along for the fun.
Guest will be served a delightful array of food to enjoy while watching the races. There will be mini quiches, club sandwiches, mini pulled pork sliders, gourmet pies as well arancini balls.
They can also nibble on an all South Australian cheese platter, in-house roasted nuts and dried fruit from McLaren Vale on the day too, so it’s best to come hungry.
Live music will play throughout the day to fit right in the wonderful high tea.
For those who hope to booze up the mystical day, packages can be upgraded to add a bottle of bubbles to pop for $15.
There will be four session times for guests to choose from on the day.
Hope Inn Hotel’s beer garden is a large open space with flat screens and seating to make a day of the high tea. The hotel has a sports bar, TAB, pokies and bistro to check out on the day.
Booking are not essential, but recommended to ensure you secure a spot.
Try not to go off with your head at the curious day with the horses!
