Alex Crawford, AKA The Sugar Man, closed his Hutt St patisserie late last year leaving a huge hole in our daily caloric intake. While we all dearly miss his macarons and croissants we’re celebrating the news that Crawford hasn’t been idle. Turns out he’s been off creating a fabulous range of bespoke chocolates.
And no, your eyes aren’t deceiving you, that really is hot cross bun flavoured chocolate up there. Like we really needed any further temptations in time for Easter. Crawford straight-up uses real chunks of hot cross buns in the mix, along with local orange pieces and Australian muscat sultanas, and honestly, I can’t describe them any further as I’m getting drool all over my keyboard.
The other flavours include a delectable salted peanut butter flavour – also made with local ingredients – along with two recent additions of vanilla slice and chocolate brownie inspired creations; these are sure to make the perfect Easter pressies.
