We think that Adelaide is one of the most amazing cities in the world. We may be bias but we certainly think that the food scene has attributed to Adelaide’s super cool vibe. With so many amazing new restaurants opening, plus some absolutely cracking established venues, there really is a thriving (and delicious) food scene. With so many options it can be hard to narrow down where to visit. In steps the ever so helpful team at Glam Adelaide – we have thrown together a list of what we think are the hottest restaurants in Adelaide right now… These are the bad boys that you will want to tick off your “must try” list on the ASAP.
With our mouths watering and stretchy pants at the ready, here are our HOT FIVE:
Besides the fact that this place has one of the best views of Adelaide’s CBD, they also serve up unreal food. And we aren’t the only ones who think so… 2KW Bar and Restaurant were named one of the Hottest New Restaurants 2015 by Good Food (see our story here).

2 King William Street, Adelaide
Ok so maybe technically not a restaurant, but this new kid on the block serves up an epic menu that will undoubtedly leave you wishing you had worn your stretchy pants. With a stunning fit out, you can trust that the food at this place is beyond amazing considering it is owned and managed by the kids of Frank and Maria. Who are Frank and Maria? Well they just happen to own that little old restaurant called Chianti (A.K.A one of Adelaide’s powerhouse food venues). The Spanish tapas style menu sees smaller sharing plates mixed with larger meals if you are really peckish. It also has to be mentioned that these guys are now serving up breakfast. And that is our lives made!
This place couldn’t not make our list… With its amazingly vibrant (and totally Instagrammable) decor, and a menu that combines the flavours of Mexico with the flavours of China (well it is in Chinatown and the Chef is Chinese), it will blow your mind. We can’t go past their Duck Dorado – slow cookded habanero-orange duck, cheese, green onion and cilantro, black bean mash and salsa mexicana… Oh em gee!!!
140 Gouger Street, Adelaide
Now this place is something else. We fell in love with this little slice of Italy before it had even opened its doors. After chatting to Simon, the Owner and brains/genius behind Osteria Oggi (see our story here), we just knew that this would be one of our faves. And we weren’t wrong. Also making it on to Good Food’s list of Hottest New Restaurants 2015 (see story here), we are all about their insane choice of pastas.
76 Pirie Street, Adelaide
Oh hi, Sean! You know we love you! It may be just over a year old now (see our story here), but this uber trendy and totally tasty venue has us going back again and again and again… Seriously. We can’t decide what is best – its stunning decor, the glorious cocktail menu (we love us a Pink Lady) or that Mac & Cheese… Droooooling!
Station Road, Adelaide
One To Watch: Keep your eye out for Electra House‘s new restaurant opening soon. Level One is replacing Olea, and we can’t wait to see what they do!
