Hotel Richmond To Bust Out For Variety Bash

Variety Bash participant Kar Kaos is looking for a fundraising shot in the arm this July at Hotel Richmond. All you have to do is Bust Out & Party.

There’s something truly wonderful about Adelaide car fanatics who set up their deck chairs on the side of the road to show their support to any number of classic car rallies and fundraisers. It speaks a lot to the character of Adelaide that people choose to spend their leisure time not only spotting the vehicles but supporting these events so strongly. It’s a large part of the wide reaching respect that Variety Bash has achieved in South Australia, and of course the quality of the support they deliver to children in need under the age of 18 is second to none.

Whether you care about a 1963 Dodge Pheonix, or even know who Les Burdett (iconic Adelaide Oval groundskeeper) is really doesn’t matter. For the sake of charity, he represent Kar Kaos, a participant in the Variety Bash of South Australia since 2001. The car has raised over $400,000 towards the Bash since it began, with the Port Lincoln To Clare leg of the Bash to be run from Saturday 6 August to Saturday 13 August this year to be his 16th bash in the old girl (we assume it’s a girl). Burdett is motivated by the fact he is lucky enough to have 2 healthy children, and treats this as a great opportunity to help those who have not been so blessed. Amongst those joining him this year will be former State Premier Rob Kerin, and their cause is set to receive a much needed shot in the arm on Saturday, July 9th.

The Hotel Richmond will play host to Bust out & Party, an event that won’t be dragged down in formalities but rather a night of revelry for all in the name of supporting Kar Kaos. From 7.30pm, the ticket price will include a showcase of Hotel Richmond’s food and drinks, with entertainment from Fresh FM’s EZEE G, presented by Adelaide events company JOI Events. But the most important thing is that you are there, because Variety do outstanding work. You’ll enjoy yourself no matter what. Dare we say they’ll aim to crack $500,000 this year? It’s a tall order, but every ticket sold will bring them a step closer.

Tickets to Bust Out & Party at Richmond Hotel on Saturday, July 9 are available here.
