The party season is fast approaching us, meaning events left, right, and centre, and fashionista Jamie Lee knows how to dress for each occasion.

Entrepreneur, stylist, mentor and successful model, Jamie Lee is an intimate stylist who draws on her personal experiences to motivate, educate, inspire and enlighten her clients.

With the 2011 spring/summer fashion season set to be one of the most directional fashion seasons to date, with bigger and bolder colours, distinct trends, and a redefined way of dressing, Jamie Lee provides insight in to the five key outfits needed for the party season and how to work them:

Spring Racing Carnival

"On this occasion it is all about head-to-toe style. Have fun with hats, headbands, fascinators, and clever accessories. But my best advice for this one is to always dress appropriately… don’t reveal too much skin. It’s classier to stay covered up a little and opt for a more ladylike approach, and if the weather is not on your side, add a pair of elegant gloves."

Friend’s Wedding

"Of course you want to look amazing without stealing the bridal party’s thunder so avoid white and go for a feminine style dress in a great cut and a soft tone."

Friend’s Hens Party

"This is all about having fun and your outfit should express this. This is the night you can be a little daring and show some leg in a hot mini shift dress in a bright citrus colour with some killer heels. Don’t be afraid to stand out."

Summer BBQ

"Relaxed and effortless is key for this occasion. Team a flowing maxi and a wedge – you will feel comfortable and look great."

Christmas Show

"Christmas parties are always fun. This is an occasion to shine so bring out that colourful dress you haven’t worn in a while. However if this is a work show, again dress appropriately and be mindful of who will be at the event."

Jamie Lee will be launching a brand new online women’s fashion boutique – Suede Online – at the end of September this year, stocking both Australian and international labels.
