Looking for something to fill the void of no footy games this weekend?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
To celebrate the release of ‘The Australian Dream’, Madman Entertainment is offering 2-for-1 tickets to the movie for anyone with an active AFL membership or AFL club membership.
‘The Australian Dream’ showcases Indigenous AFL legend Adam Goodes, as he reveals the emotional journey through his career and highlights the realities of racism and discrimination in our modern society.
The film marks the first time Goodes has expressed the raw nature of his career experiences in depth on a large platform.
Award-winning directors Stan Grant and Daniel Gordon join forces to tell this inspirational story of resilience and heroism in the fight for racial equality.
While Goodes is the focal point of the film, Grant and Gordon also aim to tell a deeper story about race, identify and belonging in Australia.
Madman’s Managing Director Paul Wiegard says the film is must-see for all Australians, whether they are a football fan or not.
“We can see that the traditional cinema-going audience is turning up to see the film, but we feel it’s an important film which the broader football and sporting community need to see,” Wiegard says.
“If there’s a movie that needs to be seen beyond the converted, it’s this one.”
The 2-for-1 ticket deal will run from Thursday the 29th of August through to Sunday the 1st of September.
The offer applies to all viewing sessions of ‘The Australian Dream’ at any participating cinemas.
