Support Local Adelaide Hills Growers With New ‘Pick A Local, Pick SA’ Initiative

Pick A Local, Pick SA! is an appeal launched to support Adelaide Hills growers devastated by bushfires, and all they ask is that you buy local.

As local growers assess the damage from the Cudlee Creek fires, Pick A Local, Pick SA! is urging all South Australians to support the industry by actively buying from Adelaide Hill growers.

The South Australian Produce Market has kickstarted this appeal with a donation of $20,000 that will go directly to the Adelaide Hills growers whose crops have been affected by the recent fires.

It is now more important than ever to support local growers by consciously buying local. The fires have devastated many properties, and for many growers, it will take years for them to fully recover. But despite the damage caused by the fires, there will still be plenty of produce to get your hands on.

Additionally, donation tins are being placed at 70 different Pick A Local, Pick SA! retailers across South Australia that will take donations to help the Adelaide Hills growers industry recover.

Drakes Supermarkets will be donating part of the sales of Adelaide Hills products to the appeal. Foodbank SA is also taking donations to support the appeal on their website here.

Keep your eyes peeled for local retailers that display the Pick A Local, Pick SA! sign to know that they are supporting the South Australian growers.
