South Australia’s newest wine festival, Chardonnay May, is in full-force this month, and there are lots of incredible events coming up.
Howard Vineyard is participating in the debut festival with a delicious-looking, seven-course dinners on May 22nd.
While the specific contents of the menu are being kept under wraps, we’re told the dishes (featured below) will have rich seafood and meats such as abalone, chicken, pork, crayfish, and Murray cod, with at least three of the seven including seafood. The dishes will showcase premium SA produce, and they appear to have local vegetables and flavourful sauces.
The Chardonnay May degustation’s decadent courses come paired with––you guessed it!––chardonnay. The Adelaide Hills vineyard is presenting a range of back-vintage wines pulled out of their Wine Museum, so they’re sure to be delightful. Guests will learn about the evolution of the Amos Chardonnay through drinking its many varieties.
The seven courses come matched with six chardonnay vintages and one specially made cocktail.
While great wine and a fabulous degustation are exciting on their own, the intimate cellar door experience is also a draw card. The recently renovated Howard Vineyard is absolutely gorgeous, with a stone exterior and sleek black and polished wood interior. The clean, minimalist design is a perfect marriage between rustic and modern, and the perfect spot to enjoy this seven-course degustation.
Please note that gluten free restrictions can be catered for, however given the nature of this menu, vegetarian, vegan and other dietaries cannot. The degustation is $200 per person.
You can visit Howard Vineyard at 53 Bald Hills Rd, Nairne.
