One of the Adelaide Hills’ biggest, most beloved, and delicious events, the Rosé and Dumpling Festival, is returning once more to satiate the palette and the stomach.
Hosted over two glorious summer days (28th and 29th January 2023), the festival will feature tasty festival-style food on the lawns, a live music set list, and Howard’s fan-fave Rosé.
The Rosé and Dumpling Festival was first introduced to the Adelaide Hills’ festival circuit during the 2019 Crush Festival, thanks to Howard’s Head Winemaker and General Manager, Tom Northcott. Fast forward three years, the festival is now showcasing its award-winning rosé, which won title of Best Rosé in the Adelaide Hills and the Adelaide Hills Wine Show.
Head Chef, Chang Koog Lee (Cookie), and the fabulous Korean kitchen crew will once again be hand-rolling and dishing up a mouth-watering menu, featuring pork, vego, and seafood dumplings, as well as various Bao buns and Asian-Australian treats.
Beyond a day of rosé, hand-rolled dumplings and live music, Howard Vineyard will also be welcoming the blokes from Threefold Distilling Co, who will be shaking cocktails on the day. Howard and Threefold recently collaborated to produce a brand new Blush Gin, inspired by the signature tasting notes of the Howard Vineyard wine range.
Head Winemaker Tom Northcott, with the help of supporting Howard winemakers, hand-selected nine botanicals for the debut spirit, showcasing white grapefruit, strawberry gum, rose petals and white pepper. The Rosé and Dumpling Festival gives curious gin lovers the opportunity to taste the drop firsthand, in a happenin’, summertime atmosphere.
Included in the $15 adult ticket is a Riedel wine glass to keep, and a bottle of water to stay hydrated throughout the day. The $5 children entry ticket will also include an ice block to keep them smiling all day long.
For those who want to take their experience to the next level, VIP tickets for $150 come with a Riedel wine glass, reserved VIP seating with shade, two food tokens to be redeemed in the VIP-only food queue, a 3.5 hour drinks package, and one token for a Blush Gin & mixer.
Based out of the exclusive VIP only bar, the drinks package will run from 11:30am to 3pm and include wines from Howard Vineyard as well as beer, cider, juice, soft drink, and water.
Live music will soundtrack the day whilst the rosé flows and endless dumplings are served.
Howard Vineyard is located at 53 Bald Hills Rd, Nairne.
The Rosé and Dumpling Festival will run from 28 – 29 January 2023.
