Cricket fans will enjoy a free ride on Adelaide Metro bus, train and tram services for the historic Australia v India day-night Test match starting Thursday December 17.
Free travel is available upon presentation of a valid event ticket from 11am Thursday, Friday and Monday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
Playing hours are scheduled from 2:30pm to approximately 9.30pm for the inaugural day-night Test to be played between the Australian and Indian men’s teams from December 17-21.
On Days One to Three, Adelaide Oval Express bus services will operate post-match up to 45 minutes after the last ball, while extra train and tram services will also operate post-match.
Extra bus, train and tram services will also operate post-match on Day Four but there are no additional services currently planned for Day Five.
The nature of cricket means fans arrive in a staggered manner throughout the day and after work so the Adelaide Oval Express is only running for post-match travel.
As previously announced, the Gawler rail line will be closed between Adelaide and Salisbury railway stations, due to the Gawler Rail Electrification Project. Additional substitute buses will operate after the event.
Passengers are encouraged to maintain social distancing wherever possible and use their best judgement and wait for the following service if they do not feel as though there is adequate space or if instructed to do so.
Passengers are also reminded not to travel on public transport if they are feeling unwell.
