One of Australia’s largest co-working space providers is expanding the size of its Adelaide site by almost three times, with a relocation to the historic Pirie House.

The new Hub Adelaide at 89 Pirie Street will feature sophisticated amenities, cutting-edge technology and top-of-the-industry lifestyle facilities when it opens in October 2021.

Opening its doors to approximately 200 additional members across a 2,000 square metre site of flexible workplace, Hub is expanding from their existing home on Peel Street, which sat at 760sqm.

The flexible co-working space will takeover the iconic site at Pirie House, boasting an on-site café, parents' room and even a podcast studio.

Notable Hub Adelaide members including PEXA and XERO will christen the space in September, working alongside the local South Australian startups and businesses that have made up the foundation of Hub Australia’s business community. Interest has also been expressed in the site by a number of large corporate organisations.

The iconic Pirie House boasts a stunning 1878 heritage facade, and has recently undergone a multi-million dollar refit by landlord and builder, Pelligra Group.

The new fit-out of Hub Adelaide will feature flexible, dedicated desks, offices, suites and meeting rooms as well as a café, kitchen, parents’ space, hotel-style end of trip facilities and even a podcast studio.

Current members will move into their new home in mid-September 2021 before an official opening to new members from October.

Having been founded in 2011, Hub is Australia’s largest privately-owned flexible workspace and provides office spaces in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.

Hub Australia CEO and Founder Brad Krauskopf is delighted with the new announcement and expansion for the Adelaide site.

“Our existing space has been happily occupied at full capacity every year since opening in 2013, so we know Hub’s flexible product and hospitality-led service is well received by the Adelaide market” he says.

“It’s an exciting time for Hub and also Adelaide, as we create one of the largest premium flex spaces in the city. From scaling start-ups to larger corporates, Adelaide executes are recognising they need to embrace flexible workspaces to attract and retain talented staff – we believed that offering them a future-ready, premium workspace will help achieve this”.
