It’s been a busy morning in the radio world today with some big changes being announced to who we’ll be hearing on the airwaves across Adelaide’s biggest stations next year.
SAFM announced today that the Bec, Cosi and Lehmo show as we know it had aired for the final time this morning after three years on air. Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello has officially left the station with Bec and Lehmo on leave until November 4th when they will return to see out the remainder of the year before a fresh approach is taken in the new year.
SCA Chief Content Officer Dave Cameron says “Bec, Cosi and Lehmo are all well-respected and loved Adelaide personalities, and we thank this show for entertaining Adelaide at breakfast time for the last four years.”
“SAFM is an iconic Australian radio brand that has had many of Adelaide’s and Australia’s biggest personalities as part of its line-up over the years, and we look forward to announcing our fresh approach in 2023 to SAFM Breakfast in due course.
“I’d also like to thank Cosi for his last four years with the station, on top of the previous stints over the last two decades that Cosi has had with SAFM, and we wish him well for the future.”
Meanwhile over at competitor station, Nova, brekky hosts Ben & Liam dropped a bombshell announcing a move to Melbourne with a brand-new show and a new addition to the team with long-term producer, Belle Jackson, joining the boys as a permanent part of the team.
‘Ben, Liam & Belle’ will replace the current Melbourne breakfast team at Nova from December with Adelaide listeners able to catch the beloved brekky team from 6am – 7am. An announcement for their Adelaide replacement is yet to be made with the new team on air across Adelaide from 7am.
To keep up to date with the changes visit SAFM and Nova.
