Human Nature Coming Home for Christmas

human_natureOn your sleigh Santa Claus, Human Nature is coming to town! Australia’s most successful male vocal group are coming home for the holidays this December on ‘Human Nature – The Christmas Tour’ to coincide with the release of Human Nature – The Christmas Album. The quartet will be getting their ‘holly’ and ‘jolly’ on nationally in Melbourne, Sydney, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth this summer. Tickets go on sale Monday 5 August through various outlets.

“We can’t wait to get back home for Christmas! We’re thrilled to be able to perform some of the best holiday classics to our loyal Aussie fans at such a special time of the year. We’ll definitely have crowds rockin’ around the Christmas tree at these shows!” said Human Nature’s Andrew Tierney

While Aussie’s may not get to experience the traditional white holiday, Human Nature will treat fans to a very merry little Christmas courtesy of a spectacular evening of Christmas classics with their masterful Motown spin. Audiences can expect timeless renditions of all of the classics such as White Christmas, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town and Silent Night just to name a few.

Human Nature will also release Human Nature – The Christmas Album, their first ever Christmas album just in time for the holidays which will make for the perfect gift to put under the tree for that someone special. The Christmas Album has seen the talented vocalists return to the studio with Grammy Award winning Producer Harvey Mason Jr and his production partner Damon Thomas, under the moniker of ‘The Underdogs’. Recorded in Los Angeles and Las Vegas with some of the world’s top musicians, the album brings to life the ultimate collection of the most popular Christmas songs together with a flair that stems from a high energy Motown rhythm, making this album the ultimate feel good Christmas release. Tracks such as ‘Christmas Baby Please Come Home’, ‘Santa Claus is Coming To Town’, ‘White Christmas’ and ‘Sleigh Ride’ deliver joyous moments blending with quintessential tracks such as ‘Silent Night and ‘O Holy Night’. More surprises from The Christmas Album will be announced soon.

“This is really one of the most special records we have made and we feel it is one of our best” said Human Nature’s Phil Burton. “We have sung some of these songs since we got together as a group. To have finally recorded them on an album our fans can play every year at Christmas time, surrounded by friends and family, means the world to us”.

It’s 23 years since the group was formed by Andrew and Michael Tierney, Toby Allen and Phil Burton – four high school friends who have gone on to conquer the world. Human Nature are one of Australia’s great musical success stories. Since signing with Sony Australia in 1995, they have released nine albums – five of which went to number one in Australia – achieving 23 platinum awards, 17 top 40 hits and five top 10 hits worldwide. They have sold more than two million albums in Australia alone. Their album The Motown Record has alsoreached number one on the US Billboard Heat Seekers chart.

In 2005, Human Nature released the five-time platinum album Reach Out – The Motown Record. A collection of Motown hits (and ARIA’s highest selling Australian album of 2006), this was followed up in 2006 with Dancing In The Streets – The Songs of Motown Two then in 2007 the group returned with Get Ready featuring Motown superstars like Mary Wilson, Martha Reeves, The Temptations and Smokey Robinson.

It was this association with Smokey Robinson that saw Human Nature head to America in mid 2009 to become the first Australian group to start a Las Vegas residency in the famed live performance mecca. This year saw the group move to the prestigious The Venetian Resort Las Vegas with their brand new show titled Smokey Robinson presents Human Nature: The Motown Show for a two-year residency.

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year and what a better way than to spend it with one of Australia’s most enduring and loved pop acts, Human Nature. The group will treat fans to a memorable evening to get one and all in the Christmas spirit.

Tickets go on sale Monday 5 August through various outlets.
