School holiday plans just got a little bit more exciting, with the news that the Victor Harbor Holiday and Cabin Park will be building a Hurricane Vortex water slide!

The Canadian slide will be part of the expansion to the park’s water-play area, which will also feature a double bucket tower, with each bucket holding over 300 litres of water.

The expansion plans are part of a $1m upgrade to the park, which have been helped along thanks to a $300,000 grant from the South Australian Government Tourism Industry Development Fund.

The double bucket and Hurricane Slide are believed to be the first of their kind ever installed in a holiday park in Australia.

With help of funds from the grant, the park will also be installing additional cabins and ensuites, and enhancing existing recreational facilities by doubling the size of the current waterplay area with the addition of these new and unique features.

With the slide and water-play area set to be finished by September, it will be just in time for the school holidays!

Victor Harbor Holiday and Cabin Park is located at 19 Bay Road Victor Harbor, SA 5211 Australia
