Hurry! Last days to get your Mochi donut fix at this pop-up dessert store in the CBD

But you need to get your skates on because the Shibui Dessert Bar pop-up in Rundle Mall will be closing on July 3.

Why not combat the cold with some Mochi donuts?

But you need to get your skates on because the Shibui Dessert Bar pop-up in Rundle Mall will be closing on July 3.

Serving up sugary treats from their bubble gum pink shipping container, Shibui has been bringing their sweet eats to Gawler Place since May 26. If you missed them at the Fringe or Tasting Australia, you now have another chance to try them.

The brick-and-mortar Grote Street location has also recently announced the inclusion of a Frozen-themed dessert! The Snowball is made up of a vanilla sponge, yuzu curd & coconut mousse gateaux with lychee granita, meringue, lychee popping pearls & coconut snow. However, The Snowball is only available at the Grote Street location for a limited time only, so hop to it!

But you can still look forward to the bright pink container in Rundle Mall to give you your favourite mochi donuts, flavourful soft serves, and mochi donut sundaes.

They also have toppings such as toasted marshmallow, a mochi donut on a picky stick, fairy floss, caramel popcorn, and stroopwafel, which can be added to any soft serve product.

Shibui comes from owners Quang Nguyen, Lisa Chao, and Thy Nguyen. After first appearing on our radar with Richmond’s Devour cafe and patisserie, Quang and Thy’s Shibui has been open and serving loyal customers since 2018. Thy says if you haven’t already tried the mochi donuts, they’re a must.

The Rundle pop-up in Gawler Place will be closing on July 3:
Wednesday 12 pm – 5 pm
Thursday 12 pm – 5 pm
Friday 12 pm – 9 pm
Saturday 12 pm – 5 pm
Sunday 12 pm – 5 pm
