Superstitious Fusion in Hyde Park is changing up the traditional high tea experience with a unique and creative flair. They’ve reimagined classic high tea offerings by incorporating Asian influences into their tiers. From sago puffs to beef Wellington, the team is committed to bringing a refreshing and new take on high tea to Adelaide.

With five savoury and five sweets, the team have reinvented high tea classics and are highlighting familiar bites, like their banana truffle cake. Chef Ban Law, who once worked as the High Tea Chef at the Pasadena Foodland, was inspired by his roots and wanted to apply it to this form of dining.

“We are trying to present our Asian cuisine through the high tea set,” shares Tin from Superstitious Infusion.

“We are most excited about our sago puffs, one-bite wellington beef, satay chicken skewers, pecking duck bao, choux pastry puffs, and seafood tarts.”

Featured in the high tea is Superstitious Infusion’s choux pastry – a delicate French pastry that is typically used to make cream puffs and éclairs.

“We make the choux pastry by ourselves and we present it in a frozen state so that when you have the puff, the custard inside will taste like ice cream,” shares Tin.

Now, you can enjoy these delish delights at any time in different flavours like original, chocolate, strawberry, and passion fruit!

For $65 per peron, this non-traditional high tea that’s incorporates Chinese, Thai, and Malaysian flavours also includes coffee or tea and is a perfect addition to your weekend activities!

There is also a gluten free option available for those who want to indulge in a high tea experience without a gluten overload.

If you’re looking for even more fantastic dining expereinces, we can’t help but shoutout Superstitious Thai Fusion, the sister restaurant to Superstitious Infusion, located in Grange.

Here, sharing is encouraged with delicious plates like lychee pork skewers, salmon sashimi with dragon fruit and leek, and crispy pork belly with watermelon, among many others.

But if a new and creative high tea is what you’re looking for, be sure to book two days before and bring along a friend, a minimum of two guests are required.
