I Choose SA Launches ‘Chooseday’… The Day To Choose SA!

Chooseday encourages consumers to choose local products each Tuesday and share their experience on social media using the hashtag #choosedaysa

Here at Glam Adelaide, we’re all about supporting South Australian business – you could say it’s what we were born to do. We love supporting SA business wherever and whenever we can and promoting the best of what our state has to offer. Which is why we’re getting right behind Brand South Australia’s ‘Chooseday’ initiative, a new component of the I Choose SA campaign which encourages consumers to ‘Choose SA’ every Tuesday by showing you what we choo-choo-choose.

Chooseday will hopefully help change buyer behaviour by encouraging consumers to choose local products each week and share their experience on social media using the hashtag #choosedaysa.

Over the past 12 months South Australians have embraced the I Choose SA campaign with more than 51,000 uses of the hashtag #ichoosesa, and over 3,400 businesses registered to be part of the online business directory – a tool for consumers and businesses to find local products, services and suppliers. The campaign is also supported by over 60 local ambassadors.

Launched on 28 August last year, the I Choose SA campaign continues to support producers, growers, manufacturers, service providers and businesses throughout the supply chain to help increase jobs across the state.

Chooseday will consistently educate and remind consumers about the positive impact they can have on the future of our state’s economy.

“We want all South Australians to realise the power they have in everyday purchase decisions,” Brand South Australia CEO Karen Raffen said.

“If every South Australian household were to spend an extra $2.30 a week on local food and beverages, it could support up to 600 new local jobs.

“Chooseday will help drive behaviour change amongst South Australians, and provides a great opportunity for everyone to share how they Choose SA on social media with the hashtag.”

Brand South Australia is currently working with many local brands to leverage Chooseday and help consumers identify local products through the use of campaign material and the State Brand – which acts as an assurance that the product or service supports local jobs.

Local media partners will be supporting Chooseday, with Brand South Australia leading the way across its social media and other digital channels.

If you want to get involved, BUY SA and join the conversation online by tagging @glamadelaide @brandsouthaust and hashtag #choosedaysa
