A group of experienced publicans snapped up State-of-the-art Adelaide Hills brewery, Lot 100, with Peter Filipovi, the former CEO of Carlton and United Breweries – which makes Heinekin – at the helm.
This comes after the former owners Mighty Craft sold the award-winning Mismatch Brewing and 78 Degrees distillery, which calls Lot 100 home, to the same group of pub owners earlier this year.
The Lot 100 Publicans acquired the venue for “no less than $1.5 million,” according to a short statement released to the ASX.
Lot 100 used to be a cattle pasture – now it’s a fabulous and futuristic venue with a restaurant, cellar door, distillery and brewery destination, and is home to six spectacular local producers.
Filipovic continues to make a name for himself in Adelaide’s craft beer scene after buying Mismatch for $7.2 million.
In November last year, Filopovic led another group – made up of rugby players, comedian Mick Molloy, and Richard Ludbrook – called the Jetty Road Publicans to buy Jetty Road Brewery from Mighty Craft.
In 2021, Mighty Craft bought the Adelaide Hills Group for $47 million, which included the Lot 100 venue. But now its assets across SA continue to face turbulent times. In its most recent half-year results, revenue was up by 25 per cent and its loss was reduced from $2.4 million to $1.6 million.
