Iconic Port Lincoln Home For Sale Featuring 8 Metre Fishtank

Check out the amazing photos of this epic house, with a glass aviary, home to the resident macaw, an 8m fishtank, wine cellar and more!

Several years ago, my cousin sent me photos of her newborn daughter, enjoying a mother’s group get together at one of her friend’s houses. It’s a photo that’s stuck in my mind for years, as it was pretty much the most amazing thing I’d ever seen. The row of babies all lined up, being entertained by an 8 metre fishtank. Here’s the photo…

So you can imagine my excitement, when that same home popped up on realestate.com.au, giving myself, and the rest of the world, a glimpse into one of Port Lincoln’s most iconic residences.

Occupying an unparalleled position, this spectacular property boasts one of the largest water frontages in the Lincoln Cove Marina.

As I mentioned above, the most magnificent feature of this home is the aquarium. Extraordinary in scale and one of few featured in a residential home, this salt water tank is 8 x 3.5 metres and is home to an array of fish and sea life. Located centre stage in the open plan living room this aquarium is simply spectacular and is the perfect nod to a town known for its fishing industry. I’m pretty sure they have divers who clean the tank too. The ol’ reach inside the tank with a squeegee won’t quite do the trick. But whatever it takes, I’m pretty sure it’s worth it.

Entering this residence, you will be amazed at what else greets you. The tropical indoor garden of grand proportions will take your breath away and make you feel you’re on a tropical holiday in your own home. Not to mention the glass aviary, home to the resident macaw. If you’re the one to buy this amazing home however, the macaw doesn’t come with the house.

Moving right along, there’s also a wine cellar (of course!) and a large chef’s kitchen that’s positioned front and centre, with marina views.

The 1,781 m² home boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, garaging for four cars and an array of open plan indoor areas that beckon the breeze and flow seamlessly to a multitude of outdoor entertaining terraces. There is a sunroom, large home office (or fifth bedroom), store rooms, service room and a powder room. And wait until you see the laundry/utility room, it doesn’t get much bigger!

For the boaties, the marina frontage and private pontoon makes this property a must.

Here are some photos of the incredible property!
