Pirate Life Brewing is expanding its horizons with the launch of its first Victorian venue in South Melbourne, set to open on Thursday, 14 March.
This marks a significant milestone for the South Australian brewery as it unveils its fourth establishment, bringing its renowned craft beer and vibrant hospitality to the heart of Victoria.
Transforming a former mechanic’s garage on Market Street, Pirate Life South Melbourne promises an energetic food and beverage experience that celebrates the brand’s dedication to quality beer, top-notch produce, and inclusive hospitality.
“We’re thrilled to introduce Pirate Life’s unique vibe to Victoria. South Melbourne’s dynamic atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for our first venture here,” said Jack Cameron, co-founder of Pirate Life.
The menu, curated by head chefs Maria Delengas and Nicolas Lopez, mirrors Melbourne’s diverse culinary scene, drawing inspiration from the chefs’ South American and Greek backgrounds. With a focus on locally sourced ingredients from the South Melbourne Market, diners can anticipate a variety of mouth-watering dishes designed to complement Pirate Life’s extensive beer selection.
The brewpub will feature a comprehensive range of Pirate Life’s craft beers, including core favorites and innovative limited releases. Exclusive to the venue, ‘The Market Street Lager’ showcases the brewery’s commitment to creating unique experiences for its patrons. “Our aim is to match every guest with their perfect beer, enhancing both their meal and overall experience,” stated Matty O’Callaghan, Pirate Life’s brand experience manager.
Designed by Studio Gram, the venue retains the garage’s original charm while incorporating raw, industrial elements and vibrant greenery, creating a distinctive space that reflects Pirate Life’s artistic and adventurous spirit. The venue will also serve as a cultural hub, hosting live music, art installations, and collaborative events to celebrate the creative community.
Pirate Life South Melbourne is a significant addition to the city’s bustling food and beverage scene, promising to become a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists. “As we open our doors in South Melbourne, we’re not just offering great beer and food but an immersive experience that captures the essence of Pirate Life,” added Cameron.
Located at 139-145 Market Street, Pirate Life South Melbourne will be open seven days a week, offering a unique blend of craft beer, delicious food, and lively entertainment.
