Iconic SA chocolatier Haigh’s opens bigger store at Burnside Village

Haigh’s Chocolates opened a stunning new store at Burnside Village, doubling in size and offering a larger selection of confectionary.

Haigh’s Chocolates opened a stunning new store at Burnside Village in Glenside this week, introducing an expanded retail footprint within the shopping centre.

Initially establishing its presence at Burnside Village in 2019, Haigh’s seized the opportunity to relocate to a larger space adjoining its original site, propelled by its successful tenure at the centre and as part of the ongoing redevelopment initiatives.

The centre’s expansion will build on the Village’s reputation as a world-class shopping destination with three levels of retail including a new premium mall, a new dining experience, home and lifestyle, entertainment, and a health and wellbeing precinct, projected to be open by early 2025.

Nestled in the Atrium Mall, the new Haigh’s has nearly doubled in size and showcases a refreshed ambiance harmonising with the iconic Haigh’s Chocolates brand.

Boasting opulent jarrah and marble accents, glass showcases, and augmented displays, the store offers people an enriched selection experience from the extensive Haigh’s Chocolates repertoire.

For chocolate lovers visiting the store, there’s over 250 varieties to choose from, ranging from chocolate frogs to gift boxes of hand-dipped truffles, with the very best on display at the new Burnside Village location.

Spanning a remarkable 108-year journey, Haigh’s has experienced significant growth, presently sustaining a workforce of over 800 individuals across two manufacturing facilities, a central office, and 21 retail outlets situated in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra, alongside its online platform.

They’re the oldest family-owned chocolate maker in Australia and is a proudly South Australian company. Each year its team of confectioners work to create new recipes and perhaps fine-tune old favourites to ensure they continue to offer a diverse selection of the most delectable chocolates.

While the family-owned company currently makes its confectionary from its Parkside factory five minutes drive from Adelaide city centre, there’s a new project in the works that will see ambitious plans for a $130 million Salisbury South Development. It’s set to double its current chocolate production capacity, with an opening date set for the second half of 2025.
