IKEA Is Turning Into A Playground For A Limited Time

Stores throughout Australia will put on a soft-toy competition, in-store creative studio, secret treasure hunts, among many other activities that will showcase the many ways that kids and adults can engage in play.

Part of the fourth Let’s Play! Campaign. Kicking off from November 1 till December 15, the campaign is encouraging children and adults to build more play into the everyday.

IKEA stores, which offer well-designed, affordable, high-quality furnishing, produced with care for the environment, will also be providing creative experiences that families can adapt and bring to life at home.

The 2019 SAGOSKATT collection has been created from the six winning soft-toy drawing competition entries from last year’s campaign with 100% of proceeds donated to HeartKids, a local initiative that promote children’s right to play.

In its sixth year, the annual IKEA soft-toy drawing competition will allow children’s imaginations to run wild and illustrate the soft toy of their dreams, for the chance to have IKEA turn it into reality.

MÅLA Studios are spots in store where kids and parents can co-create designs, with MÅLA reusing IKEA flat-pack packaging, an excellent initiative giving disregarded waste a second life.

An in-store treasure hunt will include the BLÅHAJ, the limited edition baby shark, stashed away all around the store. Maps filled with clues will be handed out with prizes to the lucky ones that fish him out.

Let’s Play is only running for two weeks so if you’re interested, there’s not long to check it out.
