Big Picture Series x Colour Tumby is the latest in Illuminate Adelaide’s colourful program, and it launched last week in Tumby Bay.

Bringing the bay to life with an eclectic rainbow of street art, the free event series will run til 21 August and allow locals and visitors alike to wander along a street art walking tour that’s been reimagined for the digital age. If you didn’t get the chance to see in person, scroll on to see some amazing photos of the experience.

Adelaide’s newest winter festival has recently had a number of exhibits extended due to South Australia’s seven day lockdown, which put a stopper in many of the Illuminate events, with Adelaide Zoo’s Light Creatures and the Botanic Garden’s Light Cycles as well as the popular Van Gogh Alive, continuing for extended runs.

As one of the final Illuminate Adelaide events to open, Big Picture Series x Colour Tumby features three local artists, Dave Court, Tom Borgas and Zoe Kirkwood who will be wining visitors with a collection of Augmented Reality Sculptures, with a large scale digital mural Light Beyond the Window Breaks also presented by the curator of the Big Picture Series, Vans the Omega.

Visitors to Tumby Bay will be able to marvel at a number of illuminated murals that will be painting throughout the street art tour, in a collaboration with mural festival Colour Tumby, which will depict these incredible works of art in a whole new light throughout the series.

Big Picture Series x Colour Tumby will take place from Friday 13 August – Saturday 21 August, daily at 6pm – 9pm.
