Since its debut in Sydney and Brisbane in 2024, The Man From Snowy River In Concert has captured hearts, and people have been itching for an encore. Now the returning performance will land in Adelaide this May.
The performances at the Sydney Opera House and QPAC Brisbane were packed to the brim, and now Adelaideans get the chance to watch the cult-classic on the big screen again, but with a live concert.
The Southern Cross Symphony will perform Bruce Rowland’s iconic and award-winning score live in person, accompanying the screen. The performance is immersive and a unique way to see your favourite movies.

For decades, The Man From Snowy River has remained one of the most beloved films in Australian cinema history. The story of The Man From Snowy River is as much touching as it is inspiring. Adapted from the Banjo Patterson’s poem in 1890, the motion picture follows the exhilarating story of Jim Craig, an 18-year-old who, after the death of his father, must prove himself in the unforgiving and harsh high country. He must earn and gain the respect of the tough mountain men. Along the way, he discovers love, adventure, and a secret hidden in the hills more valuable than any treasure.
Filmed in the Victorian High Country near Mansfield and Merrijig, including Mount Hotham and Mount Buller, the stunning backdrop and award-winning score cemented itself as a cult Aussie classic, whilst launching the careers of Sigrid Thornton and Tom Burlinson.

When speaking about the film that launched his career Tom Burlinson said, “The experience of playing the title role in The Man from Snowy River kickstarted my career and changed my life.” Following his performance Tom Burlinson starred in other cult classics including Phar Lap, Flesh and Blood and the sequel for The Man from Snowy River.
For just one day only the opportunity to see this classic in a refreshed new way is strictly limited. It’s not just a sight-to-see for fans of the original film but also for anyone who appreciates live music.
