Immerse yourself in Thai culture at the Isan Thai Festival

The Isan Thai festival is bringing dance lessons, cooking classes, Thai arts and crafts workshops as well as Muay Thai (Thai boxing), Isan folk dancing and more to Adelaide.

Mad March strikes again with yet another festival.

Get ready to immerse yourself in all the beautiful things that Thai culture has to offer as the Isan Thai Festival is back for another year.

The festival aims to showcase the rich culture of the South East Asian country through an array of fun and exciting activities including dance lessons, cooking classes, Thai arts and crafts workshops as well as Muay Thai (Thai boxing), Isan folk dancing and more.

Attendees can unwind with rejuvenating Thai massages, dazzle their tastebuds at a bunch of traditional food stalls and take advantage of dancing being back on in South Australia with live performances of traditional Thai folk music.

The event which has been running since 2018 is a celebration of Isan culture, an area in the Northeastern region of Thailand.

It is hosted by the Thai-Australian Association of South Australia, an organisation that supports Thai-Australians and Thai ex-pats living in SA.

Taking place on Saturday, March 20 at Kings Reserve which is directly opposite the Brickworks Market, the Isan Thai Festival is fun for the whole family thanks to a dedicated kids zone.

At just $1 entry per person, it is also affordable family fun.

The festival starts at 7pm and attendees are even welcome to bring their own camping chairs and picnic blankets so that they can relax on the grass while they take in the vibrant atmosphere.
