California-based, Impossible Foods has arrived in Australia, with its flagship product, “Impossible” Beef Made From Plants.

As part of its global expansion, the award-winning plant-based meat is now available at more than 150 restaurants across the country, including all locations of Grill’d – Australia’s leading burger brand. Its mission and reason for expansion is to create a truly sustainable global food system that satisfies every culture and cuisine.

Named the top plant-based burger by the New York Times, Impossible Beef rivals ground beef from cows with its juicy taste, made from quality plant-based ingredients (including a magic ingredient known as Heme). Impossible Beef is proudly packed with 18.8 grams of protein per serving; it’s also a good source of iron and fibre with no animal hormones or antibiotics. Even better, the plant-based burger also has far lower environmental footprint than conventional meat!

Grill’d will be offering an Impossible Burger range such the Impossible Cheeseburger, the Impossible Australian and even including spins on old favourites including Impossible Simply Grill’d and the Impossible Garden Goodness.

Founder and Managing Director of Grill’d, Simon Crowe, said of the launch, “we’re incredibly passionate about creating healthy, sustainable and – most importantly – delicious burgers, so we’re thrilled to be the first national restaurant group in Australia to add Impossible Beef to our menu. Impossible Beef is the natural next step for Grill’d in our mission to challenge the status quo with innovative, healthy and sustainable products”.

Impossible’s ‘Meat Made From Plants’ has garnered global support from celebrity investors including Bill Gates, Jay-Z, Serena Williams and Katy Perry, with Aussies eagerly awaiting its local launch.

“Our launches in Australia and New Zealand are another huge step towards bringing delicious, sustainable options to every market in the world,” said Dennis Woodside, President of Impossible Foods.

“Both countries are home to some of the most devoted meat-eaters on earth, and we know they’re going to love Impossible Beef”.

We can’t wait to see what the world has been raving about!
