The Ashmead family has crafted a relaxed sense of luxury at their award-winning cellar door nestled in the middle of the majestic 126-year-old Command Shiraz vineyard.

Brothers Cameron and Allister manage the business, and Jules Ashmead is Head of Production.

Elderton’s Cellar Door was the winner of the 2019 South Australian Best of Wine Tourism Awards – Wine Tourism Services category, and last year, was named in the top three South Australian Cellar Door experiences at the 2019 South Australian Tourism Awards.

Not only is the Cellar Door a gorgeous spot to visit, Elderton produces delicious wines.

The vineyards have been in the family for an impressive 39 vintages, and the cellar door was renovated in 2017, after formerly being used as the family’s homestead.

The cellar door is open seven days a week for tastings, with bookings recommended to secure your spot next to their sublime open fire.

In the private Elderton Shiraz masterclass, hosted by one of the passionate Elderton team members, guests will explore the diversity of Shiraz and the distinctive characteristics of three Eldertons estate-grown, flagship wines.

The cellar door provides a food and wine flight available for an intimate yet relaxed, self-guided matching experience.

Appreciate a selection of five iconic Elderton wines, each served with a seasonal canapé made from locally sourced produce.

The cellar door is also hosting a spring and summer Seasonal Lunch series in the upcoming months.

The three-course lunch will feature great food paired with some of the winery’s stellar wines.
