Infamous: the adults-only burlesque circus spectacular is set to dazzle at Adelaide Fringe

Infamous makes it Adelaide Fringe debut offering an adults only fusion of circus, cabaret, and burlesque designed to captivate and entertain.

Adelaide, get ready to be captivated and enthralled as the renowned burlesque circus extravaganza, ‘Infamous’, is set to make its Adelaide Fringe debut in 2024. Held in the custom-built Spiegel Big Top at Ellis Park (Sir Donald Bradman Drive), ‘Infamous’ promises a sultry and sensational experience, offering a fusion of circus, cabaret, and burlesque—trust us, this is not your average Fringe show.

With an 18+ rating, this adult cirque is designed to captivate and entertain. Director Michelle Jarman brings her vision to life, expressing her enthusiasm for the show’s first arts festival appearance.

‘We have a big cast of more than 20, as well as so many more behind the scenes—we pull no stops to make Infamous an amazing experience,’ says Michelle. ‘From live singing to the thrilling Wheel of Death, we definitely have something for everyone, and that, ultimately, is what makes the show a smash hit.’

The show’s combination of intimate and grand elements creates an immersive and sensual atmosphere. World-class specialty acts, including mesmerising flying trapeze artists and jaw-dropping stunts, are bound to leave audiences in awe.

Infamous isn’t just about the visual spectacle, though; it’s also about engaging other senses. Naughty comedy, original songs, and a blend of burlesque and cabaret elements ensure a unique experience unlike anything seen at Adelaide Fringe before.

For those seeking a premium experience, VIP tables of two are available, including drinks and snacks. Alternatively, reserve or ringside seats offer great views with food and beverages available for purchase. And, of course, there’s a licensed bar for those wanting to enjoy a drink on the night.

Having toured across Australia and the US, entertaining over two hundred thousand guests, ‘Infamous’ is no stranger to wowing crowds. The Spiegel Big Top, accommodating 600 people, will host nightly shows at 8 pm from Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, with additional shows at 6 pm and 9 pm on Saturdays.
