International Accolades For Hills Brewery Prancing Pony

The Olympics aren’t the only place where Australian’s are taking home gold and silver. Prancing Pony Brewery done just that at the International Beer Awards in London.

Two weeks ago, a phone call came through from London to the Adelaide Hills. It was the organisers of the International Beer Challenge, and they were calling for Prancing Pony with news they had to keep under their hat. Until today.

Of the 2 beers they’d entered into the competition, they had a 100% strike rate with their India Red Ale and Black Ale winning a Gold medal and a Silver medal respectively. The India Red Ale is now in the running for Champion Trophy, which will be announced on September 5.

These awards mean that the Pony have racked up 15 medals and a Champion Trophy in total in their short existence with 2016 alone seeing their new Lager (Achtung Helles) recently take home the gong at the Royal Adelaide Beer Awards while an additional 3 medals came at the Craft Beer Awards in Brisbane just the other week for their Hopwork Orange, Rusty Panzer and the Stout. They were also recently heralded one of the Top 3 Breweries in the Country as well.

Really, if you’ve never tried any of the Prancing Pony range, you’ve got no excuse. Make a date this weekend to head up and enjoy the Pony in full flight for their Rockwiz at the Brewshed evening at 42 Mt Barker Road, Totness (the tiny suburb between Mt Barker and Hahndorf).

Or head to the local pub and start demanding their stock these beers. After all, they’re denying you quality if they don’t have them already in their fridge (or even better on tap!)
