LIV Golf is here and we’re all looking forward to seeing some of the world’s best golfers take to the Grange Golf Club greens for an action-packed event.
While we all watch in awe as professional golfers from around the world flock to SA, our eyes are on English professional golfer Ian Poulter and his recent Instagram post to his nearly 600 thousand fans.
Ian took to his Instagram story yesterday, commenting on the Adelaide greens saying “Now these are the best bunkers in the world. Why can’t other countries copy this? Perfection.”
Coming from Ian Poulter, a man who is well known for speaking his mind and not sugarcoating topics, this is very high praise for the Adelaide grounds which were designed by legendary player Greg Norman.
If you’re unfamiliar with Ian Poulter, he is an English professional golfer who plays in the LIV Golf League, his accomplishments are vast and varying, he was even previously ranked as high as number 5 in the world rankings.
We’re all looking forward to seeing Ian Poulter play for the top spot in this competition as well as the incredible musical lineup set to take to the stage this weekend.
Kicking off today at the Internationally acclaimed Grange Golf Club, a record number of tickets have been sold for the Adelaide event, around 75,000 tickets have been sold so far, an incredible achievement for SA tourism.
The tournament is part of a core 14-part schedule with Australian superstar Cameron Smith among the highlights. Other high-profile players include Dustin Johnston, Sergio Garcia and Bryson DeChambeau making the field the best of its kind.
The timing will see a boost to the economy with international and interstate visitors staying in Adelaide, further enhancing restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and other businesses, many of whom have suffered recently during the pandemic.
