Conrad Sewell is set to return to Australian stages next year with a brand new tour, Bloodline – a powerful new chapter celebrating family, legacy and the raw soul of his voice. Sewell will be joined by his Grammy-nominated sister Grace Sewell, whose billion-stream career has made her one of Australia’s most formidable R&B exports. The tour announcement comes paired with the news of a compelling new Conrad Sewell single Deserve, available now on all streaming platforms.
Following his two-part Firestone 10th Anniversary tour this year, the Bloodline Tour will kick off at The Night Cat in Melbourne on June 5, before moving through Adelaide and Brisbane, and finishing up at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney on June 27. The tour will be supported by London-to-LA singer songwriter and striking guitarist, SOLOMON.
Conrad Sewell spoke to Glam Adelaide about the tour, his new single and where his love of singing and performing originated from.
“I think it’s always been in my family. I grew up with a lot of music in the household. My grandparents were singers, and from a very early age I wanted to do the same. So I started pursuing it from 8 years old, writing songs. I knew I wanted to take it seriously – it’s all I ever wanted to do.”
Sewell has shared stages with Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Jess Glynne and, most recently, Rob Thomas. We asked Sewell if he ever stops and reflects on all he has achieved so far.
“I do have moments where I stop and reflect and appreciate all that I have been able to do in a short period of time, but with the music industry, I feel like you’re always searching for that next thing. I guess it’s like anything in life, but specifically with music, because those moments pass so quickly and they’re such extreme highs that you can take them for granted. But it’s nice when you do have moments where you can take in what you have achieved and appreciate everything.”
Sewell has a brand new single, and we were keen to hear where he draws inspiration from when writing new music.
“I usually draw inspiration from my life. My life’s a lot different today to what it was in my 20s. Now I’m a family man, I’ve got kids and it’s a different kind of chaotic. But I still find real things that happen to me every day and real emotions that I’m going through at this stage in life, and I tend to just write about them. I also think the journey that you go on when you’re trying to get into the music industry is one of self discovery as well.”
Live performance is something that Sewell absolutely loves, especially sharing moments with audiences.
“I grew up in that live space, you know, singing in pubs and venues like that. Live vocals are where I shine. It’s where I’ve cut my teeth, so to speak. So I feel the most comfortable on a stage and that’s where I feel like I can just be myself and just speak honestly to the crowd. Every time I get to go on stage, no matter how big or small the venue is, I just love connecting with the crowd. Nothing beats that feeling.”
Sewell cannot wait to get on the road in June 2026 and to perform alongside his sister around the country.
“We’ve never toured together, so it’s going to be really special. We’re still putting the show together, and the structure is different to what people might expect. She’s not opening for me and I’m not opening for her. It’s more of a collaboration project for us. I’m excited that everyone that comes is going to be able to see her shine; she is such a brilliant performer.”
