Interview with Little Red drummer Taka Honda

LittleRedGlam Adelaide’s music editor Rajani Stengewis interviewed drummer Taka Honda from Melbourne band Little Red.

Little Red have been together for five years now. How did you all meet?

We actually met at high school and at house parties.

You’ve performed at a lot of festivals, but which one was the best?

I loved Splendour Festival – it was great! It was at the best location and they also had a great P.A. system.

How would you describe Little Red’s music?

Our music is a mix between country and pop.

You worked with producer Scott Horscroft, who has worked with some of Australia’s biggest acts, did you choose him?

Yes, we chose Scott. It was great working with him – we recorded at a studio in NSW called Grove Studios. The whole process took about 4 weeks.

What can people expect from a Little Red live show?

People can expect a 360 degrees multi-colour spectacular from our shows.

Little Red is supporting Blondie and The Pretenders at A Day On The Green. What are you most looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to having a crack at Deborah Harry!

Little Red will be playing in Adelaide at The Gov on October 23rd, as part of their Australian Midnight Remember tour. Tickets for the show can be purchased from the Moshtix website www.moshtix.com
