Audrey Vintage Café is a glam caravan serving coffee of all types and special treats to all who pass by.

Tina Williams revamped and launched the 1963 coffee van in 2017 after owning The Annex Cafe. She decided to start out her own coffee van business for a different venture that would also have a focus on private functions.

“I call it a glam mobile coffee van but I also do catering as well,” Tina said.

“It was something I wanted to use for events so with the experience of serving good coffee and barista drinks, I decided to give it a go.”

Named after Audrey Hepburn and her style, Audrey Vintage Café can be found at Wattle Reserve Hove on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

She serves a massive range of barista style drinks, whether it’s your usual latte or cappuccino as well as a huge range of iced drinks and smoothies.

Tina also offers treats and snacks perfect to enjoy on the go. She serves sweet and savoury French croissants that are also on offer at her son’s café in Glenelg called Superette. Tina home makes delicious treats from scratch with cookies, brownies, caramel slice, and more to choose from.

Audrey Vintage Café has popped up around town over the past few years in spots including Angleton Reserve in Brighton, and the Glenelg North Esplanade. It has now taken home at Wattle reserve overlooking the pristine beach right in time for summer.

While catering was her initial focus for the van, Tina said this area struggled over covid with uncertainty in events. She still offers this service however and hopes the year to come will be a busy one.

The van is perfect for private functions because no matter where you choose to have your function, the van can go.

“We specialise in grazing platters but I can do full on catering if they want a formal meal too,” Tina said.

“If people want a dinner service, I can make a variety of meats in different ways. I specialise in Greek pulled lamb I do a BBQ chicken too.

“If the place they hire doesn’t have a kitchen that’s not a problem at all, its very convenient.

“We do grazing boxes as well which offers individual portions. It’s a great way to covid proof your event.”

As well as catering and the popup coffee van, Tina runs barista training courses that coffee lovers can book through Airbnb.

The classes are $125 and offer an intimate session with a maximum of two people.

“You’ll be able to make amazing coffee when you leave and be more educated on the science behind it too,” Tina said.

“Audrey was born for a love of everything vintage, great coffee and food, and beautiful memories, and I hope to continue serving this in all we offer into the new year.”
