Lusty Lager is the next bold step forward for Vale Brewing subsidiary, Fox Hat Brewing, following the recent installation of a brand spanking new canning line at the brewery’s Willunga premises.
The new canning line will provide the wildly popular Fox Hat range in take-home cans for the very first time, with the added benefit of enabling increased production of the delicious range.
In keeping with Fox Hat’s brewing mantra, ‘big, bold and balanced’, Head Brewer Jeff Wright has also unleashed a new addition to the Fox Hat product den just in time for canning – the aptly titled ‘Lusty Lager’.
“Lusty Lager is a natural progression from our Metric IPA and Phat Mongrel Stout products – it’s a perfect blend of American and New Zealand Hops – and let’s face it, everyone loves a good lager,” Jeff said.
“To the eye, a dense pure white head greets you, and a golden orange colour with brilliant clarity makes Lust a very attractive beer.
“Lusty is a strong, hoppy lager with notes of apricot, melon and topical fruits followed by hints of spice and cedar. Her lusty bitterness and clean, crisp finish belies her 6% alcohol content.”
Fox Hat Lusty Lager is the third product to be rolled our under the Fox Hat Brewing label, with more planned in the coming year.
“Since quietly introducing Lusty Lager into selected venues across the country in November last year, we’ve been overwhelmed with the positive feedback we’ve received,” Jeff added.

The full range of Fox Hat beers in take-home cans will be available through selected distributors next month.
