Load up on live music over the October long weekend with the Semaphore Music Festival.
Held across a number of venues with a jam-packed line-up, Semaphore will transform into a weekend of fun music.
The weekend kicks off on Friday October 1 at 7.30 pm with the opening night at Semaphore Workers Club featuring Miss Ohio and local legends Kelly’s Wayke.
On Saturday October 2, Semaphore Road will be jumping with alfresco action and live music at a range of local venues. Brew café Sweet Amber will be hosting a curated Americana line-up featuring Jemma Nicole, Don Morrison, Courtney & Snooks and The Wrong Road.
Music store Mr V. Music will present Somnium, Beach Girls and High Beamers. Meanwhile, Ambrosia Café will feature Moray Gun, and Heart of Semaphore café will showcase Park Life, The Pages and Larissa. Café Tallulah Bright’s Emporium will be hosting Adelaide’s top song writers Tom Redwood, Baby Mo and Nick Vulture.
From 5pm, the fun continues to the Gallery Yampy on the Port River at Birkenhead with the highly-anticipated return of Rockabilly Mayhem with The Satellites and The Lincolns.
On Sunday October 3, the Semaphore Workers club will present ‘Remembering Charlie Watts’ with an eight piece super group that have been performing for over 20 years. Satisfaction – The Stones Show will also appear for their first time at Semaphore Workers with doors open 3.30pm for the seated, big band extravaganza.
The music will go on to Sunday October 31 as a part of the Halloween Beach Blanket Picnic. The festivities will extend on the Foreshore Reserve near the Carousel inviting guests to dress in their spookiest costumes and celebrate Halloween with a beach party for the local and extended community.
The Halloween Beach Blanket Picnic will be soundtracked by live bands including Courtney & Snooks, Massey Ferguson, Wren and the Restless Few, Massey Ferguson and Meanwhile Back at the Ranch. The event will welcomes guests to pack a beach blanket and BYO picnic lunch and drinks for the alcohol free, family and pet friendly shindig.
