When we say wine dinner you might think ‘well that will be too expensive’, but in the case of Roy’s Wine Society Dinner on this Wednesday 6 April, you would be wrong…
One of Adelaide’s coolest inner city pubs, the Rob Roy Hotel is joining forces with a South Australian wine icon to bring you an affordable (seriously affordable) and fantastic night of fine wine and delicious food.
Who knew that a doctor trying to make a wine based tonic for his patients all the way back in 1886 would be the start of one of the most well known South Australian winemaking businesses?! Well five generations later and the Angove name is synonymous with an outstanding drop.
So bring together a beautiful four course meal cooked up by the chefs at the Roy and the stunning wine and brandy from Angove to accompany said delicious food, and you have one corker of a night (excuse the wine pun).
But more than just food and wine, this dinner will be an interactive experience as you get to hear from the winemaker himself, Tony Ingle. He will delve into the ins and outs of winemaking, and why the McLaren Vale is now the focus of the family grape growing, as well as giving you some insight into the wines that you are drinking!
Now as we mentioned this wine dinner is an absolute steal and we weren’t exaggerating. At just $55 per person you will want to hurry because there are only limited spots left for this food/wine experience.
The Roy will continue to host events of this kind throughout the year with a Piedmont Masterclass locked in for Thursday 7 April as well as a Prancing Pony Dinner on Wednesday 13 April. Get amongst it!
