Red Wine And A Winter Viking Feast In The Adelaide Hills

Scrap any notions of what a wine dinner should be. This Winter Reds event is everything we’ve ever wanted, and never knew.

It’s the event we’ve all been waiting for. Leave your cutlery at home, and head to the Adelaide Hills to immerse yourself in Viking heaven. The Pulp Shed at Glen Ewin Estate already smacks of Nordic vibes, so the crew at Unico Zelo teamed up with one of our favourite wineries to transform the space into something completely unexpected, and memorable.

It’s the Feast of Valhalla, and it’s probably the most unique event in this year’s Winter Reds festival line up.

What should you expect with The Feast of Valhalla? This event is designed to be the opposite of what you would expect in a Wine Event. So opposite in fact, that way threw away the cutlery, courses and manners. They’ve gone Viking. You won’t need to worry about whether you’re holding your wine glass right. You won’t be told how to taste or smell your wine. You can just enjoy awesome wine, awesome food in a fun environment.

Who’s cooking? The one, the only… Shannon Fleming (former Head Chef from Orana & Restaurant Blackwood) and his crew will be firing up the pits & cooking up the feast… The Feast will be exactly that, a feast!

There are no courses.

Food will be delivered when ready and will certainly fill your belly.

Your table will be lined with delicious morsels everything from spit roast, vegetables to all the cheeses.

The best part of all, NO CUTLERY.

The team behind this event just want us to get in touch with our food!

What is on the menu?

You know you are in for a treat if Shannon Fleming cooks for you. You also know that there will be a feature of foraged foods. Shannon knows exactly how embrace a theme and has prepared a Feast of Epic Proportions:
