Liza Emanuele has today announced plans to reorganise her business which will see the ongoing business operating from a simplified structure.
The changes will allow the Liza Emanuele brand to continue to be manufactured in South Australia, and ensure that local staff remain employed.
“I’ve learnt a lot from this process and I will of course take personal responsibility. Moving forward I will now be working with the right team around me to help complete the restructure and establish the systems we need to run an efficient and effective back office so that our customers can continue to enjoy the creativity for which we are renowned,” said the iconic fashion designer.
One of the group companies will be liquidated as a result and this will finalise the recently reported matters with the ATO.
“I’m committed to resolve any remaining issues with them (the ATO) and will continue discussions with them,” Liza said.
Resolving this will allow Liza to concentrate on her popular fashion brand and focus on her retail outlet on King William Road, Hyde Park which will now operate under one unified entity.
No disruption to customers is anticipated with all bridal and custom orders on track. “It’s business as usual,” said Liza.
“The response to my latest collection has been overwhelming and I hope with these business changes I will continue to be able to do what I love, keep my loyal team employed and make beautiful clothes locally,” she said.
Liza is a long time advocate of South Australia, producing and manufacturing locally and supports the local economy.
She has been an ambassador for the state, she has been a proud ambassador and supporter of children’s charities and people in need. She is a talented designer who has paved the way for fashion over the last two decades and supported up and coming local talent.
“I feel incredibly humbled by the overwhelming support from my customers, peers and the broader community.,” she said.
