If you love Italian food then clear your calendars for this one. As part of Tasting Australia’s Winter Series, Anchovy Bandit is collaborating with one of Adelaide’s best known and respected chefs to whisk you away to the Mediterannean and make you forget all about Aussie winter.

You may know him from his restaurant, arkhé, our city’s first open-flame restaurant but for one night only Jake Kellie will be joining Shane Wilson and the Anchovy Bandit team to create a series of dishes inspired by Italian traditions.

A sequence of delightful courses will showcase an array of somewhat unusual ingredients that will push the boundaries of quintessential Italian towards a more contemporary style without compromising on culture. The exact menu is guarded by lock and key until the night but the two showstopping chefs are sure to include the best local produce South Australia has to offer ranging from Coffin Bay to the Hills and everywhere in between.

Since discovering his passion for cooking at age 16, Jake followed his heart travelling the world to pursue his dream and in the process worked under some of the biggest names in the culinary industry before returning to Australia and choosing Adelaide as his chosen city to open his dream restaurant.

The pizza, pasta and cocktail bar that is Anchovy Bandit has become a cult favourite on the Adelaide foodie scene and with its uber aesthetically pleasing interior, it’s one of those places you go and never want to leave.

The Bandit Chef Series with Jake Kellie is happening Sunday 24th July with multiple time sessions available.

Anchovy Bandit is located at 96 Prospect Road, Prospect 5000.

Tickets are $150 and can be purchased here.
