James Morrison Trumpeting Support For Craniofacial Australia

With stunning jazz music in a gorgeous historic garden and local food and wine available to purchase, this garden party looks set to be an afternoon that will be sure to get you swinging in the summer sunshine.

Get ready Adelaide, the smoothest garden party is coming to Adelaide next month. With stunning jazz music in a gorgeous historic garden and local food and wine available to purchase, this looks set to be an afternoon that will be sure to get you swinging in the summer sunshine.

The perfectly pitched Jazz in the Garden will be hosted in the gardens of the historic Partridge House on February 25. James Morrison and the Australian Army Band Jazz Ensemble will be coming together to raise money for the Australian Craniofacial Unit’s ongoing research into a 1 in 2000 genetic condition that causes babies to be born with fused growth plates in their skulls and an uncertain future.

This is a wonderful opportunity to spend an afternoon with the internationally acclaimed musician who has become an ‘honorary’ South Australia since the 2015 opening of his world renowned Morrison Jazz Academy in Mt Gambier run in association with Uni SA. As one of the best on the world stage, Morrison has been able to attract outstanding international jazz musicians to the school raising the quality of jazz learning in Australia.

It is also an opportunity to raise more awareness about Craniofacial Australia. Craniofacial Australia is the fundraising foundation of the Australian Craniofacial Unit (ACFU) based at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide. The Unit’s craniosynostosis research is getting closer every year to a genetic breakthrough in the condition which requires major surgery at just six months old to separate a baby’s tiny growth plates.

So be sure to come along for this exceptional and intimate jazz experience in the beautiful surrounds of historic Partridge House and enjoy food and wine available for purchase from a selection of fabulous local businesses. It truly will be a summer afternoon like no other.
