Japanese fried chicken pop-up comes to Rundle Street this Fringe

Karaage Co is bringing Japanese fried chicken & cauliflower burgers & more to Rundle Street this Fringe season.

Karaage Co is bringing Japanese fried chicken and cauliflower burgers to Rundle Street this Fringe season, with an exciting pop-up at Distill.

Launching Friday 18th Feb, and trading every Thursday-Sunday night until the end of the festival season, Karaage Co promises to bring a delicious and new style of fried chicken to Adelaide’s East End.

Head chef Britt White, who has spent time living in Japan, explains why she thinks the concept will be a winner.

“We believe that our Karaage chicken burgers offer a unique take on Japanese street food and offers something different to the more traditional American style burgers that you typically find in Adelaide,” Britt said.

Operating out of Distill, not only will Karaage Co serve customers looking to dine in, but offer takeaway burgers and Japanese fries out of a shop window facing out onto Rundle St during street party hours.

Distill are also working with Grey Goose Vodka for a street based Spritz bar, offering a range of delicious cocktails that can be enjoyed in their extended outdoor dining area.

As part of the Karaage Co pop up they will also be offering $10 pints of Sapporo Japanese beers.

Karaage Co’s pop up will be operating Feb 18th – March 20th, with both Karaage Co & Distill trading Thurs-Sunday nights, from 5PM till late.
