Mauboy, who has ARIA nominations for Album of the Year for the gold-selling Beautiful , Best Female Artist and Best Video for Never Be The Same, will headline next month’s festival at the stunning Langhorne Creek winery.
In the past 12 months, Mauboy has released her third studio album, represented Australia as part of Eurovision 2014 and performed at the official Flag Handover Ceremony at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
She joins fellow headline act Sheppard – who have an amazing seven ARIA nominations in categories including Best Group and Song Of The Year for Geronimo – in their only SA appearance as part of their Bomb’s Away album launch tour.
The Follett family, who own Lake Breeze, conceived the Handpicked Festival to put their award-winning boutique winery and the wider Langhorne Creek region, just one hour from Adelaide, on the map.
They were thrilled Mauboy and Sheppard would headline the festival, which they planned to run as an annual event.
“To secure two Australian headline acts with the credentials that Jessica and Sheppard have is just simply amazing,” Lake Breeze general manager Roger Follett said.
“We are so excited that the Handpicked lineup now has two great Australian acts and some of South Australia’s finest original artists.
“It ensures a great day for music lovers and the region.”
