Frequent flyers, listen up! Jetstar has introduced a new loyalty product exclusive to Club Jetstar members, and it’s something you’ll want to take advantage of while you can. The product will allow Qantas Frequent Flyers to access more Qantas Points and Status Credits (rewards for customers’ loyalty for flying with Qantas and their partners) annually when flying with Jetstar.
By joining Qantas Frequent Flyer Extra, travellers are able to take advantage of Jetstar’s ever-expanding network and low prices, and will be able to earn points across all eligible Jetstar fares, including Starter Fares for the very first time. Keen on earning more points?
To be eligible for this offer, Qantas Frequent Flyers also need to be a member of Club Jetstar. The cost to become a Qantas Frequent Flyer Extra comes with an annual fee of $199, and Club Jetstar has a yearly membership fee of $65 – or $55 for renewal – bringing the total annual cost to $254-$264. Is it really worth the price tag?
Stephanie Tully, Jetstar CEO, says it’s absolutely worth your while, as members can earn millions more Qantas Points each year with this new product.
“We’re making flying with Jetstar even more rewarding by supercharging the earning power of Qantas Frequent Flyers when they travel with us – so they can take off more for less,” says Stephanie.
“Qantas Frequent Flyer Extra is the perfect way to get the best of both worlds – Jetstar’s famous low fares and extensive leisure network while accruing highly valued Qantas Points and Status Credits across all flights.”
If you’re still sitting on the fence, how does an upgrade sound? From next year, Frequent Flyers will also be able to use their Qantas Points to upgrade to Business class on Jetstar international flights. Recently, Jetstar has also offered a significant reduction in the number of points required to book short-haul Classic Reward seats, making travel for their customers much smoother, more affordable, and more efficient.
What does this translate to, in terms of the great Aussie dollar? Last financial year, the discounted fares saved Club Jetstar members an enormous $44 million in travel. With more bang for your buck, this is an offer you won’t want to ignore.
