Jimmy Rees announces 2025 ‘In Reel Life’ tour across Australia and New Zealand

Australian entertainer Jimmy Rees is bringing his new ‘In Reel Life’ show to nine cities in Australia and New Zealand later this year.

Australian entertainer and comedian Jimmy Rees, who you might know from his time as Jimmy Giggle on ABC Kids’ ‘Giggle and Hoot’, has announced his highly anticipated ‘In Reel Life’ theatre tour for later this year. The tour will visit nine cities in Australia and New Zealand in October and November, in a series of exciting one-night-only events across Hobart, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Canberra, and Auckland.

Presented by Frontier Touring, tickets for the ‘In Reel Life’ tour will be available for purchase starting Monday, June 30th, with a Frontier Member presale beginning on Friday, June 27th, all on the Frontier Touring website.

Aside from being an actor, Jimmy is a renowned media figure with over four million social media followers and a history of viral comedy content. His videos have reached 180 million viewing minutes on Facebook alone in 2021, with substantial additional viewership across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Over the years, his skilful blend of social commentary and humour has won him a dedicated audience in Australia and beyond.

The release of ‘In Reel Life’ follows Jimmy’s previous successful tours, which have drawn in audiences numbering over 100,000 across Australia. These tours include ‘Meanwhile In Australia’ in 2022, ‘Not That Kinda Viral’ in 2023, and ‘Let’s Get Regional’ in 2024.

Jimmy has been honoured with an Order of Australia Medal for his contributions to comedy and charitable efforts. He has also been nominated for Favourite Australian Media Personality at the 2025 AACTA Awards.

Since his time on ‘Giggle and Hoot’, Jimmy has come a long way over the past decade. Having left the show that made him a household name, he ventured into prime-time television with ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and continued to expand his influence and connection with audiences through various platforms and comedy tours.

Jimmy has released a number one bestselling children’s book, which followed the successful outcome of his televised comedy special on Foxtel, another number one hit.
