Join Sex & The City Illustrator For One Night Exhibition

She’s worked with the likes of Prada, Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Tiffany & Co and Louis Vuitton to list only a few, and is now collaborating with the Australian Ballet for a very special one night Exhibition.

International Fashion Artist Megan Hess has collaborated with the Friends of The Australian Ballet SA to support The Australian Ballet with an exclusive collection of bespoke illustrations.

In a project called Illustrate Create, twelve Create. Designer pointe shoes have been selected for illustration by the inimitable Ms Hess who will capture the shoes in her signature style.

Never heard of Megan Hess? Let us bring you up to speed: In 2008 Hess illustrated the New York Times number one selling book, Sex And The City. She has illustrated portraits for Vanity Fair and Time, created animations for Prada in Milan and illustrated the windows of Bergdorf Goodman in New York. Hess’ signature style can also be found on her bespoke range of silk scarves and limited edition prints sold around the globe. Her renowned clients include; Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Yves Saint Laurent, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Fendi, Prada, Wedgwood and Cartier.

So this is a big deal.

The collection will be launched at an evening exhibition at One Rundle Trading Co Dulwich, 20 Stuart Road on October 12 from 6-8pm. The event is limited to 100 guests and will be ticketed and guests are invited to join both Megan Hess and Australian Ballerina, Brooke Lockett as well as many of the designers in viewing the collection.

Create curator, Erin Fraser said: “These hand signed, largescale works of art will be available for sale at the upcoming Illustrate Create. Exhibition with all proceeds raised going directly back to The Australian Ballet.”

Smaller limited edition prints will also be available for custom order.

Featured designers include; Viktoria Novak, Akira Isogawa, Tylr, Steven Kahlil, Rachel Gilbert, Cinquante, Sass & Bide, Paolo Sebastian, ParlourX YSL, Fleur Wood, Ginger & Smart and ballerina Brooke Lockett who will also be the guest speaker.
