Just Bliss chocolatiers have just re-released their Gin & Tonic Easter eggs!

They’re back! The gin-eous Easter egg invention from Just Bliss and 23rd St Distillers has returned to bring us a delicious, boozy Easter!

Sound the alarm because South Aussie chocolatier’s Just Bliss have released their signature Gin and Tonic Easter eggs!

A collection of hand-crafted chocolate truffles filled with a gin & tonic liqueur encased in large chocolate shell, these babies are ones not to be missed!

If you’re still reading this and haven’t jumped out of your seat and straight to Just Bliss then firstly, congratulations on your amazing self control and secondly you will now learn the intricate details of these Easter delights.

Being a South Australian company, Just Bliss wanted to use a local SA Gin. With the abundance of local distillers in the area they were spoilt for choice eventually choosing 23rd St distillers based on its flavour profile.

The G&T truffle centre is made from an emulsion of chocolate (they use couverture for its high cocoa butter content and smooth mouthfeel) and cream. For an even creamier mouthfeel they then whip butter into it. Are you drooling yet? Local SA honey is used together with lime and lots of splashes of gin.

Just Bliss then hand decorate the outer chocolate shell with cocoa butter splatter which needs to be done at 32 degrees to ensure the splatter effect sets well and remains vibrant.

The G&T Egg includes 10 G&T truffles nestled in a 100 g half Easter egg hand wrapped in foil. Available in either milk or dark chocolate and retailing for $43

It turns out that this isn’t even the first time they’ve played with these amazing flavours together. Just Bliss Chocolates also sell both milk and dark chocolate gin & tonic truffles in gift boxes – so you can treat your friends year round!

How considerate of them (and how wickedly indulgent for us!) The G&T truffles first came to be when they were inspired by one of Just Bliss Chocolate’s Gin loving employees Erin. Since Erin joined the team in 2014, she blessed them with lots of new chocolate ideas, most of them centred around the use of Gin! As a parting gift (when Erin finished her Nursing degree and moved on to a new career) Just Bliss decided to make a batch of G&T chocolates for her (a move for which we thank both Erin AND Just Bliss).

Get in quick because these bad boys are limited edition and with Easter just around the corner they’re bound to fly out the door.
