Coeliacs and gluten free gourmets rejoice! A new branch of the legendary Just Gluten Free Bakery is opening in the heart of Adelaide to bring you freshly baked gluten free bakery classics.
For Italian born and trained shop founder Sabine de Vuono, opening a new branch in the heart of the CBD (on top of the Ascot Park store & Farmers’ Market Stall), is a “dream come true”.
“To be able to open seven days a week, in such a beautiful spot, right in the heart of the city is amazing,” says Sabine.
“The support from the community over the last six months has been fantastic, people have driven from all over the state to visit the bakery and now to be able to offer city centre workers and shoppers safe, gluten free options is a dream come true.”
Those in the city can now enjoy an abundance of gluten free pies and pastries, like beef pies, sausage rolls, bacon and egg quiche, vegetable pasties, and so on!
If sweet treats are more to your liking, visitors will be able to find gluten free vanilla slices, apple strudel, chocolate brownies, cheesecake, lamingtons, and more.
Your coeliac and gluten intolerant friends will certainly be spoilt for choice and have confidence knowing that everything is truly gluten free, with no risk of cross contamination.
The bakery also offers seasonal specials like gluten free panettone and gingerbread for Christmas.
For Sabine, the new bakeries represent the accumulation of more than a decade of gluten free baking experience.
“With demand so high I am delighted to finally be able to bake seven days a week for the new location,” Sabine told Glam in April.
“With such a gluten rich cuisine, Italy has been at the forefront of gluten free research, because what Italian can live without pasta and pizza?
“At Just Gluten Free Bakery we create gluten free food that tastes like real food because for us gluten free is not a sideline, it is the only thing we do.”
Just Gluten Free also offers plenty of FODMAP, vegan, dairy free, soy free and yeast free options for those with multiple allergies.
If you’re curious to know what the fuss is about, head down to Just Gluten Free Saturday 10th December from 10am – 3pm. You can also find Just Gluten Free in Ascot Park and at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market on Sundays from 8.30am – 12.30pm.
